Experimental determination of satellite bolted joints thermal resistance

    Get PDF
The thermal resistance was experimentally determined of the bolted joints of the first Brazilian satellite (SCD 01). These joints, used to connect the satellite structural panels, are reproduced in an experimental apparatus, keeping, as much as possible, the actual dimensions and materials. A controlled amount of heat is forced to pass through the joint and the difference of temperature between the panels is measured. The tests are conducted in a vacuum chamber with liquid nitrogen cooled walls, that simulates the space environment. Experimental procedures are used to avoid much heat losses, which are carefully calculated. Important observations about the behavior of the joint thermal resistance with the variation of the mean temperature are made

This thesis entitled "PROPOSAL OF IMPROVEMENT IN THE TREATMENT OF INTERESTS WITH THE APPLICATION OF IAS 23 'COSTS FOR LOANS' TO INCREASE THE NET PROFIT OF THE CORPORATION INFINITA SAC, LIMA, 2016." Its objective is to propose the application of IAS 23 'Costs for loans' in the interest generated by the operations of credits obtained for the acquisition and construction of an eligible asset. In this thesis, has been compared the use and non-use of this standard to compare the effects that its application and how the proposal improves on the economic performance of the company. To perform the present test, was used the descriptive applied research method and the nonexperimental design. The results indicate that the Corporación Infinity SAC was benefited with the application of this NIC, since it can capitalize the costs in order to increase its net income and strengthen the equity by not increasing the expense that affects the results

Joint water quantity/quality management analysis in a biofuel production area: Using an integrated economic-hydrologic model

"Water management in the Pirapama River Basin in northeastern Brazil is affected by both water quantity and water quality constraints. The region is known for significant sugarcane-based ethanol production—which is key to the Brazilian economy and expected to grow dramatically under recent global changes in energy policy. Sugarcane production in the region goes hand in hand with controlled fertirrigation practices with potentially significant adverse impacts on the environment. To assess sustainable water allocation in the basin, an integrated hydrologic-economic basin model is adapted to study both water quantity and water quality aspects. The model results show that incorporating water quality aspects into water allocation decisions leads to a substantial reduction in application of vinasse to sugarcane fields. To enforce water quality restrictions, the shadow price for maintaining water in the reservoir could be used as a pollution tax for fertirrigated areas, which are currently not subject to pollution charges." from authors' abstractWater quality, River basin model, Integrated economic-hydrologic modeling, Nonlinear optimization, Biofuels, Water resources, Environmental impacts,

Biosorption of the Copper and Cadmium Ions - a Study through Adsorption Isotherms Analysis

    Get PDF
In this work, the biosorption process of copper-cadmium ions binary mixture by using marine algae Sargassum filipendula was investigated. A set of experiments was performed to obtain equilibrium data for the given batch operational conditions - T=30°C, pH=5. The interpretation of equilibrium data was based on the binary adsorption isotherms models in the Langmuir and Freundlich forms. To evaluate the models parameters, nonlinear identification procedure was used based on the Least Square statistical method and SIMPLEX local optimizer. An analysis of the obtained results showed that the marine algae biomass has higher affinity to copper ions than to cadmium ones. The biomass maximum adsorption capacity for the binary system was about 1.16 meq/g

A educação formal para o consumo é garantia para uma presença refletida do consumidor no mercado? Uma análise com base na behavioral law and economics (economia comportamental)

    Get PDF

Molecular Phylogeny of the Myxobolus and Henneguya Genera with Several New South American Species

The present study consists of a detailed phylogenetic analysis of myxosporeans of the Myxobolus and Henneguya genera, including sequences from 12 Myxobolus/Henneguya species, parasites of South American pimelodids, bryconids and characids. Maximum likelihood and maximum parsimony analyses, based on 18 S rDNA gene sequences, showed that the strongest evolutionary signal is the phylogenetic affinity of the fish hosts, with clustering mainly occurring according to the order and/or family of the host. of the 12 South American species studied here, six are newly described infecting fish from the Brazilian Pantanal wetland. Henneguya maculosus n. sp. and Myxobolus flavus n. sp. were found infecting both Pseudoplatystoma corruscans and Pseudoplatystoma reticulatum; Myxobolus aureus n. sp. and Myxobolus pantanalis n. sp. were observed parasitizing Salminus brasiliensis and Myxobolus umidus n. sp. and Myxobolus piraputangae n. sp. were detected infecting Brycon hilarii.Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP)Centro Nacional de Pesquisa e Conservacao de Peixes Continentais of the Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservacao da BiodiversidadeConselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq)Univ São Paulo, Fac Zootecnia & Engn Alimentos, Dept Vet Med, Pirassununga, SP, BrazilUniversidade Federal de São Paulo, Dept Ciencias Biol, Diadema, SP, BrazilUniv Estadual Campinas, Inst Biol, Dept Biol Anim, Campinas, SP, BrazilInst Chico Mendes Conservacao Biodiversidade, Ctr Nacl Pesquisa & Conservacao Peixes Continenta, Pirassununga, SP, BrazilUniversidade Federal de São Paulo, Dept Ciencias Biol, Diadema, SP, BrazilFAPESP: 06/59075-6FAPESP: 2009/03320-0CNPq: 477658/2010-5Web of Scienc
